Liuto
Liuto is a tuner and setup assistant for string instruments. It listens through your phone's microphone, tells you what to adjust and keeps a summary of every instrument you set up. It works entirely on your device: no account, no ads, no internet connection.

Tune
Tuner, paired courses, inharmonicity and beats, with historical temperaments and alternate tunings.
Set up
String tension, action and relief, string height, intonation compensation, dead spots, fret buzz, tap tone, banjo head, sustain and decay, electronics, plus instrument-specific tools such as jawari, harp levers and koto bridges.
Practise
A full metronome with sounds and rhythms and a training section.
Keep track
A summary of every setup, PDF reports and CSV export, JSON backup and profile sharing by QR code.
Free and full version
The tuner, courses, tuning and tension, summary and the metronome are free. A single in-app purchase through Google Play unlocks every other tool, with no subscription. When you first install Liuto, everything is unlocked for three days so you can try it all. Locked features stay visible with a padlock, so you always know what the full version adds.
Privacy
Liuto does not request internet access. Sound from the microphone is analysed in real time and never recorded or sent anywhere. Your instruments and measurements stay on your phone. Read the full Liuto privacy policy.
